When a car manufacturer produces a model that becomes the one all others are compared against, you know you’ve done something right. It can, however, also be a bit of a problem. When the model reaches the end of its life cycle and it is time to be replaced, not only is there the pressure to ensure the new model lives up to the expectations of the outgoing version, but also ensure it remains ahead of the game. When the time comes for a new Range Rover however, there is the added burden that you created the genre in the first place.

The new model thankfully seems to have filled the brief perfectly. Cleaner lines both inside and out and a minimalistic design ethos ensure that the car looks thoroughly modern and up to date, yet still remains packed with the latest technology, upmost in luxury and the ability to conquer any terrain you dare attempt to drive across. Less may be more with the styling but they have managed to incorporate more of everything else too; more technology, more luxurious touches, more seating choices, more engine variants and more refinement in every area.

Our 2022 Range Rover Autobiography D350 is finished in Santorini Black metallic and comes with a full Ebony perforated semi-aniline leather interior. The combination of Black exterior and Black interior complimenting the minimalistic styling of the car exceptionally well and highlighting the stylish appearance of the new model both inside and out.

Being the Autobiography variant, the extensive list of features included with the car include 22” diamond turned wheels, Digital LED headlights, 24-Way climate massage seats in the front and Executive Class climate seats to the rear, SV bespoke extended leather, Meridian Signature sound system, a Head up display, ClearSight rear view mirror, 3d surround camera, Soft close doors and much more.

Additional features include a Sliding panoramic sunroof, Privacy glass and Gloss Grand Black veneer interior trim finisher to complete the monochrome appearance of this example. The car is offered in exceptional condition having covered just 1,300 miles since new and comes with the remainder of a Land Rover manufacturer warranty until May 2025.

Land Rover haven’t just designed a car that looks more sophisticated and elegant, they have also invested a lot in the production facility to ensure the attention to detail of the design and quality of manufacturing has moved on as well. The luxury off road marketplace may now be more crowded than it used to be, but the Range Rover is making sure it is more than capable of retaining its position at the very top.
