Car Of The Week – Porsche 911 Carrera 4 GTS (992.2)The 911s that grab the headlines are the likes of the Turbo S and GT3 and RS’s. So it might be tempting to write anything with the name ‘Carrera’ in it off as entry model, or not as impressive, when in fact the opposite is true.
With the all-new hybrid assistance that this 992.2 is known for, this Carrera 4 GTS is old-shape Turbo S quick. Electrification seems to be a bit of a sore subject for purists, but by whatever standards you’d like to judge it, the Carrera 4 GTS offers eye-watering performance

Lugano Blue
Dark Night Blue and Crayon
The previous owner spent in excess of £40,000 on the Porsche Configurator, and there aren’t a lot of boxes that were left unchecked. PCCB – ceramic brakes, and all of the carbon, from the SportDesign package to the window triangle trims to the interior trims.
The paint is Lugano Blue, which was introduced in 2024 for the Panamera, and is perhaps the bluest paint we’ve ever seen. Thankfully, it’s covered by full PPF, and that brings us to what this car does best, which is to say, everything. It’s comfy – the 18-way adjustable seats with memory that are also heated and vented take care of that. There’s extended leather to the dashboard and door, as well as to the cupholder trim. The interior is also two-tone, which makes it a delightful place to spend time.
Whilst some might bemoan the loss of physical dials and a push-to-start button instead of the twisty item the 911 used to have, there’s absolutely no denying the 911’s vast talents, and in this iteration – the Carrera 4 GTS, it’s arguably in its most desirable, and usable form yet
