Alex has always been an entrepreneur: his first deal came at the age of 13, when he sold a boat engine to another boy – Andrew North. After leaving school, Alex set up his own catering business which he sold on before going on to work for a number of leading automotive manufacturers. Keen to make the most of his fastidious attention to detail, he teamed up with Andrew in 2005 and the pair launched Alexanders Prestige. The dream, right at the beginning, remains the ethos behind the business today: to do things properly, and to lead by example. In the years that have followed, Alexanders has built up a huge national profile, and in 2013 the pair launched Harvey Cooper Cars – a successful Ripon-based car dealership that is named after each of their eldest sons. Alex – now a father of three – was recently recognised in Yorkshire Business Insider’s coveted ’42 under 42′ list, which highlights the region’s leading businessmen and women.

From a young age, Andrew has lived, breathed and worked with cars, and since 2005 he’s dedicated his incredible passion, energy and attention to Alexanders. His life in the motoring world started when he was just 16, when he joined a local BMW dealership as an apprentice. Over the course of the next decade he worked his way up to be part of the senior management team. It was during a drive home from the Lake District with his childhood friend Alex that the pair hatched an ambitious plan to branch out on their own. Nearly 20 years on, Andrew fronts the Boroughbridge-based business, overseeing a knowledgeable and professional team. In 2013, he and Alex launched Harvey Cooper Cars, in Ripon, naming the dealership after each of their eldest sons. When he’s not at the office, Andrew is usually with his young family, who are already budding petrolheads.

Irfan has been helping to keep the Alexanders group running like clockwork since 2013. Formerly the General Sales Manager at Audi Teesside, he oversees sales and maintenance for both Alexanders and Harvey Cooper Cars and is an incredibly important cog in the wheel.

After over two decades working in the hospitality sector, Keith was ready for a change of direction. Fast-forward almost 10 years, and having now worked in both a main dealer and independent prestige environment, Keith’s continued love of cars and customer service has led him to join the team at Alexanders Prestige.

Workshop Controller Richard joined Alexanders from a renowned Porsche specialist bringing with him a wealth of knowledge across all makes and eras. He dealt with stars including Toto Wolf, Nico Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton and JayKay from Jamiroquai in his past role but now revels in the variety of cars he gets to work on.

Named after his father’s love of restoring Austin 7s, our logistics man has a fascinating CV that not only lists bodyshop repairs and motorsport, but martial arts and body building. A former World Champion in the former, he’s travelled the world on the fitness trail, picking up several classic bodybuilding titles, and his perfectionism undoubtedly extends to his work at Alexanders.
