Car Of The Week – Ferrari 12CilindriThere’s a reason this engine still exists. While the rest of the industry has moved on, downsized, turbocharged, electrified, Ferrari has done something far more difficult. They’ve refined perfection.
Year: 2025
Mileage: 2460
Colour: Extra Range Verde Toscana and Nero DS
Interior: Extra Range Terra Antica and Nero Leather
The Ferrari 12Cilindri is a reminder of what happens when you don’t dilute an idea over time, you sharpen it. Because at its core sits one of the last naturally aspirated V12 engines you’ll ever see.
No turbos. No hybrid assistance. No artificial enhancement.
Just 6.5 litres of Ferrari V12, producing 819bhp screaming its way to 9,500rpm. And that number matters … engines like this don’t exist anymore. Not like this. Not with that kind of response, that kind of sound, that kind of character. Instant, linear, relentless. The kind of power delivery that doesn’t need explaining the moment you experience it.
Its not ‘quick for what it is’, its quick because of what it is.
The platform builds on everything Ferrari learned from the Ferrari 812 Superfast, but goes further. Lighter, stiffer, more precise. The introduction of brake-by-wire and advanced chassis control systems gives it a level of composure that feels almost impossible for something this powerful. And yet, it never loses what matters. It’s still a front-engined Ferrari.
Inside, the cabin reflects that same thinking. Minimal, but not clinical. Driver-focused, but not isolated. A dual-cockpit layout wraps both driver and passenger into the experience, with digital displays that feel integrated rather than intrusive.
Then there is how this thing looks. Inspired by Ferrari’s 1960s grand tourers, but executed with a level of precision that only modern engineering allows. The signature long bonnet, vast clean surfaces, no unnecessary aggression. Just proportion, balance, and intent.
Cars like this are disappearing. Regulations will see to that. Technology already is.
Which makes the 12Cilindri something quite rare. Not just a new Ferrari, but one of the last true expressions of what a Ferrari has always been about.
Enzo would have loved it
