Taycan GTS Raises The Electric Car Bar

Not long ago the premise of an electric car was something that looked a bit awkward, wasn’t good to drive and had very limited range no matter how you drove it. Then Porsche introduced the Taycan and showed the world it was possible to produce an electric car that not only looked stylish, but also had a reasonable range capability and more importantly drove the way a Porsche should. These days, the electric car has come on a long way yet the Taycan still leads the way when it comes to dynamics and handling.

Not to be outdone by the chasing pack, Porsche themselves have produced the Taycan GTS, a more driver focussed and ‘sporty’ version synonymous with that famous GTS badge. Quoted as having 20 percent more roll stiffness, if ever there was an electric car that could also be an option for track day enthusiasts, or just those who enjoy a spirited drive in the countryside once in a while, this would be it.

Despite fittingly neatly in the Taycan range between the 4S and the Turbo, the GTS actually utilises the full-fat motor from the Turbo on the rear axle, and a smaller motor to power the front wheels. This effectively means that for the most part the GTS is more rear-driven than a traditional four wheel drive vehicle, enhancing the handling characteristics and dynamics of the car even further.

Fittingly the Taycan GTS also looks the part thanks to the SportDesign pack with reshaped front and rear bumpers, as well as reworked side skirts with Black inserts sporting the ‘GTS’ logo. The lightweight RS Spyder design wheels are finished in Satin Black, another unique option to the GTS, and the abundance of Race-Tex to the stylish 18-way Sports Seats ensures the GTS looks sportier too.

Our 2022 Porsche Taycan GTS Performance Plus is finished in Gentian Blue metallic with full Black Race-Tex and leather interior with Crayon stitching. The car comes with an extensive specification to include those lighter Satin Black RS Spyder design wheels, GTS Interior package in Crayon, Panoramic sunroof, ParkAsssit with Surround View, BOSE surround sound, Power steering plus, Privacy glass, Auto-dimming electric folding mirrors, 150kW DC on-board booster and much more. All of these optional features additional to the standard equipment such as the Performance battery plus, SportDesign package, 18-Way Adaptive Sports seats, Sport Chrono package, Matte carbon fibre interior trim and much more.

The car is offered in exceptional condition having covered just 3,750 miles since new by its one previous owner. It also comes with the remainder of a Porsche manufacturer warranty until June 2025.
