Car Of The Week – Porsche 911 GT3 RS (992)

If the term box fresh ever applied to a car, it’s this one. A 2025 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, with just delivery mileage on the clock. But first, let’s talk specification, and over 43,000 pounds worth of factory-fitted options leaves us with plenty to talk about. To begin then, the famous Weissach Package, named after Porsche’s development track near Stuttgart, costs nearly 30,000 pounds if you opt for a roll cage. Included, you get the bonnet, roof, window triangles, exterior mirror uppers and wing in carbon fibre.

Inside, the roll cage is also carbon fibre, along with the door pull handle. The gearshift paddles, meanwhile, are made of the same material as the 20/21” wheels – magnesium. To round out the interior, you get extensive Race-Tex, Weissach package logos and a 6-point seat belt for the driver and passenger. The official line from Porsche is that the weight of the car is reduced by over 22kg, in comparison to a 911 GT3 RS with just the Clubsport package.

Arctic Grey

Black and GT Silver leather and extended Race-Tex interior with contrast Blue stitching.

Other big options include ceramic brakes. For the costly price of a lightly used second-hand supermini, you can get carbon-fibre reinforced ceramic brakes of an enormous 410mm six-piston at the front and 390mm four-piston variety at the rear. Tinted LED main headlights with Matrix Beam, including PDLS Plus, or Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus, costs £2,900 pounds and includes daytime running light trims in matt Black, decorative ring in Dark Chrome, and reflective ambient speed lines.

Convenience doesn’t come cheap, with a lift system for the front axle costing £2,500 and a very similar amount again for the interior trim package, which includes contrast stitching in Blue. It’s over a thousand pounds for BOSE surround sound and the reversing camera. Having options is great, and it’s what makes this car interesting but the best thing about this GT3 RS is that unless you’re literally standing in the Porsche factory, you can’t get much closer to a new GT3 RS than this.
