Car Of The Week – Range Rover SE D350 URBAN Widetrack

Range Rovers have cemented their reputation as luxury vehicles, offering a supremely commanding view of the road that makes driving them a pleasure and an ease. As a car to use every day, it’s hard to think of another that could do what the Range Rover has been doing for some years now. Unfortunately, this is no secret, which means that for the discerning owner who wants something a bit different, they’re not well-suited to the job.

Happily, there are a number of solutions, one of which is courtesy of a certain company called Urban Automotive, a UK company who have been modifying luxury SUVs for over a decade. If cars were suits, they’d be tailors, which means that this Range Rover is unlike almost any other. The URBAN Widetrack conversion consists of a staggering 44 components, all blending together to create a cohesive look that distances this Range Rover from the crowd. 24” URBAN UF-7 wheels, wheel arch extensions that increase the width of the car by 26mm on each side and carbon fibre to the front bumper, front splitter, rear bumper and diffuser form the basis of the Widetrack conversion.

There are lots of additional pieces for added flair such as the ‘sabre’ trim piece on the rear wheel arch cover, upper rear spoiler and optional ‘URBAN’ branding on the bonnet and tailgate that are also come as part of the Widetrack conversion

There are lots of small changes (some might say 44), that combine to massively overhaul the look and feel of the Range Rover URBAN Widetrack. In combination with the factory options this car has such as the head-up display and sliding panoramic sunroof, this is a Range Rover that retains its competence and everyday usability but also comes with some extra flavour for those who want it.
