Car Of The Week – Rolls Royce Ghost

In 2009, the first Rolls-Royce Ghosts started down the production line. Ever since, the Ghost nameplate has been synonymous with luxury, and symbolises everything that Rolls-Royce stands for.

Legend has it that when you used to go into Rolls-Royce dealership and asked how much power the car has, they’d just tell you it was ‘adequate’. That might not be quite true anymore, but it’s to those qualities that Rolls-Royce hasn’t strayed, to this day.

Year: 2022

Mileage: 13,150

Colour: Wittering Blue

Interior: Navy Blue, Grace White and Charles Blue

That much is clear when you consult the humongous list of features this car has. When it comes to luxury, it doesn’t get any better than this, and the proof is in the pudding. Everything in the car seems to exist to make your life easier and less stressful. The Ghost is one of the most relaxing, tranquil car ever made.

Every single seat in the car is heated, ventilated and offers an array of massages. And you can’t fit a fifth person in the car because instead, nestled between the rear seats, is a centre console, including a cooler with glasses to enjoy a tipple of your choice. Plus, for your entertainment, there’s what Rolls-Royce calls Rear theatre – one screen for each person in the back, with picnic tables too.

What really epitomises Rolls-Royce though, are the smaller things. We’ll just give a few examples, because we’re running out of room, but take the Spirit of Ecstasy for example – it’s made of solid silver. Not silver plated, solid silver. It’s also got a coachline down the sides of the car in White, which matches the whitewall tyres perfectly.
