Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante

The Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Volante represents one of the most exclusive open-top grand tourers of the modern era, combining Aston Martin’s naturally aspirated V12 performance with bespoke coachbuilding by Zagato. Powered by a 5.9-litre V12 producing 592 bhp and 630 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed Touchtronic III transmission, it delivers 0-62 mph in 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 201 mph. With a limited run of just 99 cars worldwide and extensive carbon fibre bodywork, the Volante features a fully re-sculpted exterior with flowing proportions, a bespoke rear deck concealing the folding roof, and model-specific front and rear styling that clearly distinguish it from the standard Vanquish.

The Vanquish Zagato forms part of one of the most significant collaborations in automotive history, with the Aston Martin-Zagato relationship dating back to the DB4 GT Zagato of 1960. This model was one of four body styles produced (Coupé, Volante, Shooting Brake and Speedster), each limited to 99 examples, with the Speedster further restricted to just 28 units, reinforcing its rarity and coachbuilt nature.

Zagato-specific design elements are extensive, including a 3D ‘Z’ pattern front grille and rear vent meshes, alongside Vulcan-inspired blade LED tail lights unique to the model. The car also features a quad-exit stainless steel exhaust system, delivering a more distinctive and emotive V12 soundtrack, complemented by revised suspension tuning for a more dynamic driving experience. Lightweight construction includes carbon fibre body panels and cast magnesium door structures, reflecting the engineering depth beneath the design.

The optional Villa d’Este Pack introduces a highly curated, design-led specification inspired by the Villa d’Este Concours. Exterior enhancements include exposed carbon fibre splitter, diffuser and sill blades, carbon fibre bonnet louvres and A-pillars, bronze anodised side strakes, gloss black waist rail, and 20” black diamond turned bronze-tinted 15-spoke alloy wheels. Interior detailing is equally distinctive, featuring Zagato ‘Z’ quilting, ‘Z’ embossed headrests, a carbon fibre herringbone fascia with bronze-finished rotaries, shadow bronze jewellery pack, black leather steering wheel with bronze anodised airbag ring, along with gold-painted air vent bezels and rear cubby tray.

The result is a rare, highly detailed V12 grand tourer that blends British engineering, Italian design heritage and true coachbuilt craftsmanship at the highest level.
