This Mercedes-Benz 190SL is a beautifully restored example of one of Stuttgart’s most elegant and collectible roadsters - and an exceptionally rare right-hand-drive model, 1 of just 562 examples ever built. Introduced in 1955 as the smaller sibling to the iconic 300SL Gullwing, the 190SL shared its styling cues and engineering philosophy, powered by a 1.9-litre inline-four engine derived from the 300SL’s inline-six. Producing around 105 bhp and paired to a four-speed manual gearbox, it offered smooth, refined performance ideal for grand touring.
Originally supplied new to Hong Kong in 1960 before arriving in the UK in 1999, this matching-numbers example comes with both soft-top and factory hardtop. A meticulous bare-metal, chassis-up restoration was completed in 2019, finished in Mercedes Gullwing Silver Grey (DB180) with a beautifully retrimmed red leather interior.
